One-tap install on iPhone
On iOS 17.4 and newer, many providers send a link that installs the eSIM directly. Open the email on the phone itself, tap the link and follow the prompts. No app and no QR code needed.
Scan a QR code
If you have a second screen, open the QR code there. On the phone go to Settings, Mobile data (or Network on Android), Add eSIM, and scan.
Manual activation code
No second screen? Choose 'Enter details manually' and paste the SM-DP+ address and activation code from the email.
Before you land
Install the eSIM at home on wifi, but keep it switched off for data until you arrive. Set it as your mobile-data line and turn on data roaming for the travel eSIM only.
